Are silicone molds the first choice among the nation's top soap makers, you bet! Silicone molds are easy to cast, use, de-mold, cleanup, and convenient to store. These molds are always ready to work -- no 'ON' or 'OFF' switch, no beeping noises, no complaining -- not even about the weather. They continually do their work very well and never ask a thing about a pay raise. And all they ask for -- is a little Tender Loving Care.
Our silicone molds save time and money
Using silicone molds eliminates the need to purchase and use expensive spray releases, or to continually prepare loaf pan molds for casting. Every time, silicone mold produces professional soap bars with clean, crisp details of your brand name artwork. The weight, size, and shape of your soap bars are always constant. Excellent customer appreciation ratings and quality control with little or no waste will help grow your business.
Our silicone molds are flexible, soft, yet durable
Silicone molds that can be twisted, stretched, pulled, or dropped and will not lose their shape. Plastic sheet molds are continually being replaced due to tearing, shredding, warping. Because our silicone rubber has a memory, this memory allows your molds to return to their original shape. Our custom silicone molds will soon become your 'anchor go-to molds' for all your soap recipes.
Do silicone molds take on the scents or colors
Our silicone molds do not take on any scents, oils, or perfume you may use in your own exclusive soap formula. You can cast all your different soap formulas using the same mold. For example, you may use the same silicone mold to make soap bars, wax products, bath Fizzies, hard lotion bars, and even pumice bars. In these cases, your formula would start as a liquid slurry and then solidify to a harden state for de-molding.
Can silicone molds be used for hot or cold recipes.
Our molds can withstand temperatures up to 350° F. and for rapid cooling, our molds may be placed in cooling units. Our you can place them in a freezer for a brief time. Be Careful!
Complete control over the exact weight and dimensions
Our silicone molds can be created as 6-, 8-, or 12-cavity molds, although we recommend creating a 12-cavity mold. The number of cavities in the mold will produce that number of soap bars in a single cast. Your mold will give you complete control over the exact weight and dimensions of your soap bar. There is no need to be concern about the correct weight and size as with hand-cut soap bars. And each time you cast, your cavity molds give you a uniform consistency of your name or logo.
What we don't do
Masterline does not make hot vacuum-formed sheet plastic molds. After a while, the sheet molds will start being problems for soap makers. For this reason, Masterline decided from early beginnings to produce a high-quality silicone soap mold -- a mold which will last for years.
Masterline does not use polyurethane RTV rubber to make your production molds. We learned quite early in our beginning, that the finished soap bars would adhere tenaciously to the polyurethane rubber. No amount of cleaning or use of mold releases could prevent the finished soap bars from sticking. The mold soon builds up a scale-like residue which is hard to remove. The silicone rubber gives a clean release thus eliminating any soap-scale build up.
The construction of your silicone rubber molds
Our team at Masterline takes extraordinary pride in constructing your silicone molds. We know your molds are going to last a long time. Your molds are built on a square or rectangle platforms which gives each soap bar cavity great stability. Your silicone molds are cast with a thicker bottom (more silicone) to reduce 'snaking'. These molds could 'snake' as there is no support or stability in this type of mold. As there is little or no support, there may be miss-shaped soap bars as finished products. Your molds are not made of hardware store silicone that comes in a tube. Your molds are un-like any press molded silicone cupcake molds offered in the box stores.
Free Trade Agreements
We use an industrial strength grade of silicone which is 'Made in North America' to meet current Free Trade Agreements.
