Custom Rubber Parts and Products

Every project we tackle is a little different. We do custom rubber molding for all types of clients across 20 different industry sectors. Many of these rubber parts require rubber to metal bonding, pressure sensitive adhesives applied, custom rubber compounding and color matching to existing parts. We offer design assistance for those that need help and recommend prototyping be done for more complex parts before we begin production.

Some of the more common applications for custom molded rubber parts are:

  • Rubber Seals & Gaskets
  • Surface Protection
  • Insulation
  • Power Transmission
  • Electrical & Temperature Shielding
  • Vibration Dampening
  • Rubber Bushings to Reduce Wear
  • Rubber Couplers and Pipe Housings
  • Mechanical Connections for Equipment

Specialty Molded Rubber Parts

Synthetic Rubber Molding Materials We Specialize In:

  • Viton Rubber Parts for Heat & Chemical Resistance
  • EPDM Synthetic Rubber Parts for Sunlight Stability
  • Nitrile Rubber Parts for Petroleum Based Applications
  • Neoprene Rubber Products for Abrasion and Impact Resistance

Natural Rubber Is A Good Choice for Many Parts We Make

More than 20% of the custom rubber parts we make use natural rubber in their composition. Synthetic rubber tends to be more expensive and is often required for extreme applications. Natural rubber tends to be lower in costs, offers more flexibility in compression molding processes, has a high tear strength and bonds well to metal. For normal conditions not exposed to high temperatures or exposure to corrosive materials, natural rubber is the perfect choice.

Rubber Molders in Pennsylvania

There are fewer rubber molding companies in the USA these days. Many of the O-rings, standardized gaskets and automotive tubing work are done in very high volumes and therefore are being produced in foreign markets where labor costs are low. It may take manufacturers in China and Thailand 6 months or longer to deliver orders. Associated Rubber has always made customized rubber products that require shorter lead times and the quality needs to be exceptional.

our clients and the American workforce.”
